Research Fellows



Hindol Bhattacharya

Mr. Hindol Bhattacharya is presently working as a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Education Technology, Jadavpur University, under the DST INSPIRE-AORC Fellowship Scheme of Govt. of India. He had joined the department as a Senior Research Fellow under the State Govt. Fellowship scheme of the university. He has been previously associated with Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd and has an M.Tech degree in I.T (Courseware Engineering) from SET, JU. His Doctoral research interests include Information Retrieval and Intelligent Data Management.



Susovan Jana

Mr. Susovan Jana is a Senior Research Fellow at School of Education Technology, Jadavpur University. He is pursuing his Ph.D. (Engineering) from Jadavpur University. He has 3+ years of research and teaching experience at School of Education Technology, Jadavpur University. He has also 1.6 years of industry experience as an Application Developer at IBM India Pvt. Ltd. He has a keen interest in the area of Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence.



Uttoran Roy Chowdhury

Project assistant for “Deep Learning Model for Analytical Study on Data Classification”. Research interests: Machine learning, Deep learning, Pattern recognition The project is about the prediction of the career path of undergraduate engineering students through the assessment of their performances. Several categorical and numerical data have been collected from engineering students, including their age, grade point average of each year of BE/B.Tech., technical expertise, etc. According to those data the career path of the students have been classified, i.e. whether they will be able to crack the placement interviews, or if they will be able to go for higher studies. Classification has been done using dense or fully connected neural networks. The data, collected from the graduates who are either working in the industry or opted for higher studies, have been used for preparing the training dataset. Whereas the data for test set have been collected from final year undergraduate engineering students.



Medha Nag

Ms. Medha Nag is presently working as a Project Fellow at the School of Education Technology, Jadavpur University under the Rusa 2.0 Fellowship Scheme of Govt. Of India. She has got ME-EE degree from Jadavpur University. She has been previously associated with Chaibasa Engg. College as Technical Assistant in ECE department. Her research interests include Image Processng, Signal Processing, Medical Imaging, Deep Learning.



Suparna Dutta

Ms. Suparna Dutta is currently working as a Project Assistant at the School of Education Technology, Jadavpur U niversity, under RUSA 2.0 sponsored project of Govt. of India. She has an M.Tech degree in Information Technology from Govt. College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology. She had completed her B.Tech degree in Information Technology from St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology. She had previously worked in Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Programmer Analyst Trainee. Her research interest includes Image Processing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
