'e'- When unstressed
it is pronounced short and as 'i' in English word
hit. While speaking fast hardly it is
pronounced.
-When it is at the beginning of a word it is
mostly not pronounced like
esposo(husband) escadas(stair)
- When placed at the end of the word it is hardly
pronounced like
noite ele
- When stressed it is pronounced long like é
Example: pêra(pear)
There is no use of same two vowels in Portuguese
(oo,aa). The two vowels get merged into one with
a stress.( a+a=
à)
